In this room there’s a note on the table to the right – N#6 (“Soul Journal Entries”). Exit the room and head into the next room on the right. In the same room, look in the shelf on the left and find another note – N#5 (“Herbert’s letter”). Once in the library, head into the first room on the right and pick up the note on the table – N#4 (“Results”). Head out of the room, then left, down the stairs and into the library. Pick up the note on the small table – N#3 (“Newspaper article – 19 March 1858”). Head straight and into the room on the left. You should now be able to exit the tunnel and fall out. In the tunnel, the correct directions are left, then left, then right, then right, then left, then left.

It will sound like something is chasing you, but nothing is in actuality. In the next section, you are in a small crawl space. Once the ladder is in place, interact with it and you should climb it. Once you can, open it and use the broken ladder in your inventory on the open trap door. Move a number of boxes under it so you can reach it. You should see a trap door on the ceiling. There’s another note in here – N#2 (“Billet Doux”). Walk diagonally and head to the last cell on the right side. After a few minutes, it should be gone, so head out of the cell. It won’t come inside the cell unless you draw attention to yourself. Stay in this cell as a monster will spawn outside. Head into the first cell on the left and pick up N#1 (“A New Plan”). You’re now in a large room with a lot of cells. Turn around, head straight and into the door at the end, on the left. After this, head left and pick up the broken ladder at the end of the path. You should pass a small gated area on the right. Continue on and head left when the path splits into left and right. Exit the cell and head straight, then turn right at the junction.

Once you wake up and can move, go over to the gramophone and turn the handle until it stops. That's pretty much it for this guy, not really much else to do besides use the Wax Cylinder on one of the phonographs that you will run into on your way to the next area.Cabinet of Perturbation / Cells (starting level) Now, go into your inventory and equip the ladder (you should have found this before you got into the dungeon) and use it on the trap door. Next, you are going to want to build another pile of boxes to reach the trap door that is up on the ceiling. (I'll get a picture of this when I run through that part again.) It's on the side of the big dumpster looking box. There is also a Wax Cylinder up there that you are going to want to grab before you jump down. You are going to need them for the next part. (I think I may have made it more complicated than I needed to but you get the idea of what you need to do)Īfter you get up there you are going to want to throw down all the boxes that you can. Then build something like this to get up on the ledge that will be immediately to your left when you first enter the room. Stagger boxes and barrels like in the image below allows you to get higher up without having to stack to many things on top of each other. First you are going to want to get all the barrels and boxes that are laying around the area.
